Dear Rosan
Indirectness is one of the favorite English games - Shakespear loved it - English Literary Criticism and Classics love it - one should go as long as possible without using a TOPIC sentence - with parctice you can write a whole book and not sau what it's about.
This is also a feature of Australian vernacular and the jive talk of some Americans - rap is a special sub-set where indirection is also found as vulgarity of the harshest kind - the game is "spot the topic" in amongst the foul language, hysterical claims and violent taunts.
Another version from OZ uses stomach-churning distractions - if you cannot stay the course you will not get to the substance of the discourse.
I am very Chinese
