Abbot Arnaud-Amaury (also known as Arnold-Amalric).
It was he, as I recall, to whom is credited the quote "Tuez-les tous; Dieu
reconnaitra les siens," which he said during the Albigensian crusade, to
answer the query about how the crusaders would know what to do in Beziers,
where there were both Catholics and Cathars. ("Kill them all; for the Lord
knows those who are His.")
