Hello all,
Do anyone out there have any hints/ references/ links etc about the
interplay between heat flow and weakness zones in continental crust
(either lower or upper..)?
In more detail, the issues I seem to tackle are the following:
What would be the expected signature of the HF field if the underlying
crust is affected by likely regional shear zones? Or the other way
round: can hypothetical shear zones be detected/inferred via an HF dataset?
What kind of data sensitivity/ resolution could be expected - or needed..?
I'm specifically interested in the 15/25 km depth range beneath the
Southern Apennines in Italy.
Sorry about the number of issues! I'm pretty new to HF, in fact...
Many thanks in advance and have a serene day,
Umberto
