medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
In reading a Carolingian saint's life I came across and individual who was
"cancellarius" to an Angevin bishop, and referred to as "clericus" at
several points, but later in the narrative we are introduced to his wife and
two sons. Is this possible, or am I misreading something?
