Well, yes, but azure and gold are also the heraldic colours of the French royal
family, which are plentifully evident in the stained glass of Chartres Cathedral. And
the only arms of the Dreux family in the Chartres glass are those of Pierre
Mauclerc, the count (or duke according to some sources) of Bretagne, in which the
chequey or and azure are differenced with a canton of ermine, which of course later
became the arms of Bretagne. Does Huysmans specifically mention Dreux?
