Foreign Affairs: Nineth Report: The Decision to Go To War in Iraq
This site provides access to the full text of the Foreign Affairs Select committee report which was published as HC813 session 2002-3 in July 2003. ISBN 0105011627. It discusses issues relating to the British government's decision to enter into conflict against Saddam Hussein and Iraq in 2003. A particular focus are the justifications for war, including whether Prime Minster Tony Blair and 'spin doctors' such as Alistair Campbell 'sexed up' or exaggerated the security threats from a Iraq. It includes an assessment of the claims made in a number of government dossiers about Iraq's holdings of weapons of mass destruction and the general handling of intelligence information by the government. The site also provides access to minutes of oral evidence given to the Committee.

Education Fifth report; The Future of Higher Education
This site provides access to the full text of the report by the House of commons Education and Skills Select Committee which was published as HC 425 session 2002-3. ISBN 0215011600. It considers a range of issues relating to the future management and development of HE in the Uk. This includes consideration of research funding, academic pay and salaries, the relationship between higher education and business, university funding, student debts and the future expansion of HE through foundation degrees and other qualifications in the Further Education sector. Minutes of evidence relating to the report are also accessible.
