medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
I teach Margot King's translation of Christina Mirabilis to great
effect every fall in my medieval literature survey, and once the
kiddos begin to see beyond the "astonishing" details of her life, they
begin to identify contemporary parallels (sometimes from urban myths,
traditional stories from different cultures, or even news reports) of
Christina's holy antics.
