Subject: Information literacy group
Apologies for cross-posting
Dear All,
Interested in joining a new CILIP group on Information Literacy? Then
read on...
At Imperial College London we are currently doing a project to
investigate best practice in Information Literacy, with a view to
developing a
programme for our UG students. In discussions with librarians from various
institutions around the UK we've identified a wealth of excellent
practice but the lack of a forum where people involved with information
literacy
at the grass roots can get together to share experience. Our experience
has so far been limited to the academic sector, but we know there is a lot
of
interesting work going on in the public sector and specialist libraries
as well, so we have had discussions with CILIP about setting up a
cross-sectoral special interest group. In order to do this we need 200
expressions of interest, so if you would be interested in joining such
a group, please let me know.
Best wishes,
Debbi Boden
