Research Unit Co-ordinator, Division of Primary Care, University of Nottingahm
Applications are invited for the above post working with academic staff from the Division of Primary Care. The successful candidate will spend half of their time running the Research Unit, which will involve providing advice and training for more junior researchers. The other half of their time will involve making an active contribution to new and ongoing research projects. The Research Unit Co-ordinator will be assisted by a Research Support Officer and a Research Fellow/Associate.
Candidates must have a good first degree and preferably a Masters or PhD in a relevant discipline (epidemiology, statistics, health services research or social sciences). At least three years' research experience in a scientific or health-related field and a good level of statistical knowledge is essential, along with experience of using statistical packages such as SPSS. Experience of working in a UK general practice/community setting is desirable.
Salary will be within the range £18,265 - £27,339 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. This post is available from 1 October 2003 (start date negotiable) and is open to job share.
