There is a mismatch here. Sites are being asked by EDG whether they will be
on EDG or LCG but as far as I know LCG1 is only for a limited number of
Tier1s in 2003. If the UK has a chance to nominate a second site this year I
would expect GridPP to select one of the bigger sites involved in a Tier2
who are already up and working in EDG. The plan to combine EDG and LCG in
July is dead. EDG needs an active application testbed for the rest of this
year so please don't all scramble to be in LCG1.
