Subject: [ITeam] GGF Grid School tutorial
Hi,
As you might know there will be an EDG tutorial at the GGF Grid School
at Naples in mid July (15-16). Given the current integration status of
2.0 the tutorial will most probably be based on release 1.4 (unless we
get a stable 2.0 by the end of next week).
In order not to interfere with a potential 2.0 roll-out the tutorial
will use the GriDis testbed. However, GriDis is currently only based in
Rome and it would be nice to have a few more sites participating in this
event. So, if you are currently running EDG 1.4 and don't intend to
upgrade to 2.0 immediately after it's cut, you might consider joining
GriDis for the GGF event. We only need CEs and SEs since all the Grid
infrastructure is run by GriDis in Rome. However, if there is the chance
to get an additional RB that would be highly appreciated.
Note that supporting this event must not compromise the roll-out of 2.0
in any way so the request is mainly targeted towards smaller sites that
will not upgrade to 2.0 immediately.
Please, let me know if you are interested in joining by the end of next
week.
Thanks,
-- Erwin
PS: new 2.0 functionality may also be demonstrated at the school,
however, this will have to be done on separated WP1,2,3 resources with
appropriate support by these WPs.
