Fairly unscientific sample due to lack of time, but it may be indicative. In
our libraries that open on Tuesdays we had 87% more issues on Tuesday 22nd
April than we did on Tuesday 15th; and Tuesday 6th May provided 29% more
issues than 29th April.
For the record, the numbers are: 3,150 5,880 3,047 3924
I've never twigged this before; it might be worth our having a look at this
ourselves as we have quite a few libraries closed for all or part of
Tuesday.

Subject: Extra opening hours
Here in Staffordshire we are looking for worthwhile ways to increase our
opening hours. We don't feel opening for extra hours across the board is a
usful way to go about it!
We currently close on the Saturday before Easter and on the Tuesdays after
the Spring and Autumn Bank Holidays. Do you open on the these days and if
so, do you get high use?
Any other ways of getting good levels of visits for increased hours would
also be of interest.
Thanks.
