the pilgrimage here is also "documented" by a rather substantial number of
(12th-13th cc.) pilgrims' "badges" of *very* high quality which have been
found in a number of sites across Europe (including Paris & London)
--suggesting that it was a very popular site.
the Rocamador badges are, apparently, unique in form (they seem to be,
literally, a "Sigillum") and most of them are of unusually high quality:
