Might anyone recall images of this saint? Or have insight as to why his

i can't answer you questions, but rather strongly suspect that this guy was
chosen because of both the curious charm of his name (in French, when read in
English) and the fact that the suburb overlooking Paris which bares his name
was a rather posh part of town in the '20s, probably known to visiting Real
Estate and Movie Moguls.

i've certainly never heard of creature.
sounds like a nom de cinema.
there is a "Challo-Saint-Mars" near Etampes, but that's probably a different
sort of bird.
