With Cap Blanc/Cabo Blanco one is dealing with the narrow peninsula
historically 'shared' between Spanish Sahara and Mauritania, so Spanish name
forms may also be relevant. You don't suggest a scale of enquiry, but if
it's really close to Cap Blanc, consider Punta del Aguila about four or five
miles northwest of the point itself, towards Falso Cabo Blanco and in Bahia
del Oeste. Look at 1950s-80s copies of Admiralty Chart 1699 Baie du Levrier
and corresponding editions of Admiralty Africa Pilot vol. I. Or if this
doesn't fit, can you give more of the context where you found the name, for
a wider search? Cap Blanc/Cabo Blanco was one of the sighting points for
East India Company ships leaving the west coast of Africa for the South
Atlantic en route to the Indian Ocean.

Subject: lancaster street plan/Aigue Point
Can anyone help, please, with
1)a street plan of Lancaster dated between 1940 & 1960?
2) the location of Aigue Point, near Cape Blanco, somewhere on the West
African coast.
Thanks!
Evelyn
