Mark - you might try asking Nigel Woodcock as he did an analysis of
global plate boundaries for his 1986 paper on strike-slip faults at
plate boundaries in Phil Trans Royal Soc (A317 13-29). I've copied this
e-mail to him as i'm not sure that he is on this list...
Failing that, you could always ask the good professor Dewey (e-mail also
copied...)
