Fyi... making those changes has fixed my validation problems when using
the W3C XML online (XSV) validator
http://www.w3.org/2001/03/webdata/xsv?docAddrs=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.rdn.ac.uk%2Fpublications%2Frdn-ltsn-ap%2Flom-example.xml&warnings=on&keepGoing=on&style=xsl
The slightly modified schema files I'm using are under
http://www.rdn.ac.uk/oai/lom/
if it helps,
Andy.
