It sounds very much like the crowns being worn by the angels
painted on the chapel vaults in the House of Jacques Coeur in
Bourges, dating from c.1450. I don't have my slides here right now,
but similar crowns may also adorn the angels painted on either side
of the carved tomb of Bishop Ferry de Beauvoir (d. 1473) in Amiens
Cathedral.
