medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
As I recall, the question concerned Dante's
"reverence" for Caesar. Do you think the "Render unto
Caesar..." saying of Jesus was the source of this or
was Caesar a convenient example of a betrayed leader?
Or both?
