Not really sure - the only one I've seen advertised was a while ago - around
£15,000 - I get the rate usually offered for Assistant EO's.
By the way how many exam boards do your Colleges use - out of interest??

Does anyone mind telling me what 'the going rate' is, out of interest?

I'm in the same position. I don't even get paid as an Exams Officer - not
the usual going rate anyway & I too do just about everything with a
part-time assistant - 50 hrs between us. We also put the lottery on each
week!!

Dear Cath Smith: I simply cannot understand the difference. I am the
examinations officer for this college and I have two 'part-time - term time
only' assistants. There is no senior examinations officer here, quite
frankly the buck stops with me. I would love to know what the senior post
entails that is anything different to what I do which in my opinion is quite
frankly 'everything' and goodness only knows what this college will do when
I win the lottery! Of course, I could appoint myself as 'senior' and await
my pay rise! Annie Mathieson
