Hi
I have a project submission in for the 1 year putting a project together
stage. The entrails are looking good - Caroline MacIntyre at the Edinburgh
office was both helpful and positive. Please include me in the loop if
appropriate. (Expect an outcome in March)

I think Gills idea was to have a meeting of those who had already been
awarded grants by the HLF to discuss the running of projects rather than a
meeting for those who were putting bids together. Assisting the latter was
the aim of the seminars I ran before Christmas. If any SMR would like help
in putting together pleas talk to me about it and I will give assistance I
can.

Dear all,
It has been suggested that following on from the HLF SMR projects meeting
meeting we had in Warwick last year it would be a good idea to try to get
together again. This meeting will be open to all, whether you are already
running a HLF funded SMR project or preparing/ planning a bid for one. It is
an informal opportunity to talk about the practicalities of projects and to
benefit from the experiences of others. It isn't intended to be a discussion
of making grant applications. Topic covered at the last meeting include:
data editing, digital imaging, marketing strategies, user testing,
registering with search engines and OS references (of course).
Stephanie Wood has kindly offered a possible venue in Chelmsford, and we
are thinking about sometime in March/ April. Finding a venue everyone can
get to relatively easily is always difficult so if anyone can offer a
(free!) alternative venue in the very middle of the country with excellent
train links and traffic free roads, do let us know!
Those who attended the last meeting found it helpful so if you are
interested please let me know and we can work out a firm date.
regards,
Moya
