Hi Phil,
(Please forward this to the MD SIG mailing list. Thanks)
I've been following this debate with some interest. Although I can't make
any particularly helpful suggestions regarding the implemetation of
bindings I would like to back up Phil's suggestion to refer to the draft
LOM binding. I'm currently at the IMS quarterly working meeting in
Vancouver at the moment and we have a Metadata Special Interest Group
meeting scheduled for tomorrow. Having spoken to some of the people who
are also involved with IEEE it appears that the LOM binding is pretty
stable although it is unlikely to be passed by the IEEE board until much
later in the year as every minor change requires resubmission and approval.
I would also suggest that if you have any specific issues that you would
like me to raise at tomorrow's meetings then drop me a mail. Alternatively
pass your comments on to Phil and he can post them to the IMS members
website.
All the best
Lorna
