medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Dear learned colleagues
First: Sorry for the X-posting
Second: I'm aware that the information I need has been forwarded more than once
through this list and others. I have looked into the archives, but for the life
of me ... I can't find it. So here goes (again, I'm afraid): Does any of you
know the estimated travelling time from, say, Denmark (or Scandinavia) or
England or any other place to Rome in the high middle ages. I'm pretty sure,
that somebody once suggested an estimated medieval travelling time in hours and
kilometers, on foot or by horse - a few (repetitive) hints would be very nice.
Third: Thanks in advance
