medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Dear Anne,
One might have the impression that the reference you found glosses only the ending verse of the passage by recalling the immediately preceding story (the Father's feast).
If so, it might read "that they may receive you into the eternal tabernacles," that is, receive you into this truly worthy feast which has just been described and awaits for all repentants, may they be either prodigal sons or dishonest stewards.
Do you think this makes sense?
PS. Thanks for the catalogue you mailed, it was really helpful.

medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture

Dear Colleagues,
I have recently come across a reference connecting Luke16:1-9 (parable of
the dishonest manager or shrewd steward) to "this truly worthy feast" in a
Dutch manuscript. This text is commonly assigned to the 9th Sunday after
Trinity. Does anybody have an idea what the relevant "feast" might be?
Thank you very much.
Anne Thayer
