Oh I don't disagree Adrian, but it works both ways. I'm not saying that Danny's subject is necessarily more important than your subject (although judging from the rapid flow of replies, the list may well believe it is). But you will find a greater, and more interactive, audience for your subject if you post it at a slightly quieter time!
So although a mailing list often runs with a variety of concurrent threads, it works best running threads at different stages of evolution, or failing that, in disparate areas. But starting two new threads within an hour of each other, both of which are of most interest to the senior medical component of the list, will do neither debate any favours!
