Dear colleages,
It's the first time that I use this wonderfull tool which is the zooarch
request.
I am a Phd student of the Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle at Paris. I
work on the beginning of commensalism and the phylogeography of the house
mouse in the Mediterranean basin in relation with first human exchanges and
migrations in this area. I have already published a preliminary paper ref:
Cucchi et al. 2002. Comptes Rendus Palevol 1: 235-241.(I can send the pdf to
those of you who will be interested (english abridged version).
I am actually trying to make an inventory of archaeological occurences of
the house mouse all around the Mediterranean basin (islands included), at
any time. I should be most greatfull if you would provide me some
informations concerning that topic, from your knowledge or your own
excavations, even unpublished. Even "Mus sp." mentions can be interesting.
Of course each author and informant will be mentionned.
Looking forward to your responses
Thank you very much
Sincerely yours,
Thomas Cucchi
