This list now has around 720 members, from FE/HE, suppliers, etc.

I agree, I dont see why certification programmes in e-learning should not be
advertised on the list, as they are aimed at this community.
Those who complain about too much traffic being generated are adding to the
problem. This topic has generated over 20 replies to date most of which say
little or nothing of value.
It seems simple to me, if your not interested in a course posted to the list
delete the message, instead of adding to the problem.

>Don't have any development needs at the moment. I have relied on information
from SFEU and have attended conferences on the topic of personal development
in this field. My views are that for me it is to much to soon, I appreciate
most others have more experience in this field and therefore are ready for
some kind of PDA. My gripe isn't so much with the initial advertising of the
available courses but rather with all the replies and forwarding resulting
therefrom; communications should be, in my opinion, on a need to know basis
and most of the replies I have seen fail to meet that fundamental
requirement?
