Hi,
there are still a few places left for Jim Wynn's web cast next Tuesday,
10th June, at 10.00 a.m: "So whose VLE is it anyway?". Information about
this was sent to the list last Wednesday. Jim wants to look at the concept
of a VLE, who is the driving force behind its development - the customer
(school, college, uni) or the supplier? Who decides on the functionality in
it, who does it serve? How can we put the design of VLEs into the hands of
the people actually using them, rather than just taking what's provided by
the commercial companies.
There is also another web cast next Wednesday, 11th June, also at 10.00
a.m. This is by Julia Duggleby (one of the developers of the award winning
LeTTOL course), entitled:
"Effective online team working"
This presentation will consider how online teams can be best managed and
supported. It will also look at how conferencing can be used to provide
motivation and development for remote tutors, and how this can underpin the
quality assurance for tutors, processes and course content.
