Don't have any development needs at the moment. I have relied on information from SFEU and have attended conferences on the topic of personal development in this field. My views are that for me it is to much to soon, I appreciate most others have more experience in this field and therefore are ready for some kind of PDA. My gripe isn't so much with the initial advertising of the available courses but rather with all the replies and forwarding resulting therefrom; communications should be, in my opinion, on a need to know basis and most of the replies I have seen fail to meet that fundamental requirement?

Ok so where would you go to find out about development opportunities relating to
eLearning?
What are your current needs?

When I joined this list I hadn't anticipated so many communications on the topic
of personal development in e learning. I too have found the volume of traffic
on this topic irritating and not relevant to my current needs.

Define relevant? One person's relevance is another's iritation. The strength of
a discussion list is surely in the exchange of ideas and information. Lurking
seems a bit one-sided.

I am getting increasingly irritated by these adverts too. I am generally a
"lurker" within these lists, and prefer to read relevant material.

I'd support this, being responsible for an online tutor course I would like
to advertise but not wanting to impose it on lists like this unless it is
welcome.
