The next meeting of the Royal Statistical Society Social Statistics section
will take place at the RSS (12 Errol Street, London EC1Y 8LX) at 2.0.p.m. on
Tuesday the 29th April.
This is a half-day meeting on the development of a National Pupil Database.

Since 1997 the DfES has put in place arrangements to collect more information
about individual pupils and link it to their achievements. The session will
cover the development of the National Pupil Database, giving examples of the
analytical and administrative benefits for raising educational standards.
