At CHERI, we are now taking bookings for the seminar Where next for audit -
that will be held on 21 January 2004 in central London.
The aim of the seminar is to take a strategic look at the future
development of institutional audit in the UK. It will consider the
following questions:
* How is audit going to evolve in the next 5 years?
* What does the continued existence of audit imply for institutional
behaviour?
* How far should audit methodology take account of differences between
institutions?
* How might audit be affected by the Bologna Process and other
international developments?
* How might the success/impact of audit be measured?
Speakers will include:
* Roger Brown, Principal, Southampton Institute and author of the
book ‘Quality Assurance in Higher Education: the UK experience since 1992’
* Alan Davidson, Director of Quality Assurance, University of Dundee
* Richard Lewis, President of the International Network of Quality
Assurance Agencies in Higher Education
* Peter Scott, Vice-Chancellor, Kingston University and member of the HEFCE
Board
* Clare Stoney, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Leeds Metropolitan University and
member of the HEFCE Quality Risk Management project
* Peter Williams, Director of the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher
Education
The seminar will also provide opportunities for general discussion
concerning the future of audit.
