Dear Colleagues,
The SkillCity web site, developed by lecturers for lecturers,
contains peer-reviewed materials for teaching COMMUNICATION SKILLS
needed by university graduates.
· Explore teamwork exercises for your discipline.
· Discover handouts to improve student presentations.
· Share clever strategies for assessment.
· Discuss experiences with role-plays.

SkillCity was born from a multi-university 'Communication Skills' project,
which is now in its fifth year. The effort grew with a
large grant from our government's Australian Universities Teaching
Committee. This backing recognises the fact that communication skills
are the attributes that employers desire most in graduates.
We are now launching SkillCity in the UK and US. Visit
SkillCity, and browse our collection of 70+ entries, from WORD
documents to URLs. Download and modify materials, add reviews, submit
your own materials to share with others, or peruse our list of
dozens of active contributors and reviewers.
Please e-mail us your feedback so that we can further tailor SkillCity to your
needs. To help you publicise SkillCity with academic
staff at your university, we are preparing posters. Ask for a 'soft' copy.
