The Centre for Defence Studies at King's College London, in
association with the Royal Institution and sponsored by the
ESRC, is pleased to announce the forthcoming conference
'Communicating the War on Terror' to be held at the Royal
Institution in London, 5th and 6th June 2003. For

This two-day international conference aims to critically
examine the responses to the events of 11 September 2001
with a view to answering the question, 'Are we getting the
balance right between being alert and being alarmed?'
