I received permission by Stephen Kelen to put his poem
_Red Dzao Village_
on the Poets' Corner.
Why do I like this poem so much? Because it is narrated and it depicts a most peaceful scene. We who have to use all our intuition to survive, imagine the unimaginable in order to avoid the worse, are simply attracted by the beauty of a landscape where the
_breeze blowing down terraced fields_
becomes a panacea, a natural almost heavenly rhythm is given by the coexistence of women - men - children employed in daily tasks as if life was eternal. There is no anguish here in this corner of paradise.
Oh well there are tigers, but they belong more to the visits to the zoo we did as children.
Yes, there is the bottle which appears in hidden corners. Don't we know all the corners of our flats? Isn't this a fantasy we cannot believe in, silly superstitions relegated to the imagery of an undeveloped third world country? Isn't this a most beautiful fairy tale told by a good narrator?
