An excellent poem Deborah!
It goes like this, you start reading a poem and you like it, and you hope it
holds on till the end, and this time my hope was fulfilled, thank you.

Cat's Cradles
we - you and I
fiercely fling
on the suicidal blade
serrated genuflections
burn crosses in our head
we - you and I
rise and dance
on each jagged, rocky edge
hands robotic movements
disjointed, marionettes long dead
caustic, sharp and blunt the music notes ensemble
lines dangle, wrap, entangle in cat's cradles
holy psalms burst with red explosions,
nouns blow sky high, beyond sight
and recognition
mind fields bloom bombasts
of superstitions,
sanctimonious rhymes dine
on frenzied food chains
gnash verbs and acquisitions
to pen a poem
to edit peace
to rewrite god
into the hungry poet's feast
