Hi Allan
Thanks very much for your encouragement. Despite the fact that I am a slow
learner,
I have made a few attempts to give answer to the haunting questiona in the
past years.
If anyone is interested in my immature ideas and willing to give me critical
feedback, please email me:
"Design research: the fundamental imbrication of practice and theory" (2002
co-authored with Stan Ruecker).
– this paper didn’t make it to the ‘common ground’ but it is under review by
a major design journal.
Cross your fingers for me.
"Kindness: a purpose of design" (2003).
– this paper is under review for the 5th EAD conference. Cross your fingers
again.
"WHAT’S HER PROBLEM?" - (a slide presentation about her experiences in
doctoral studies
and her dissertation research). Delivered on November 5, 2002, 5pm to 6:30pm
at the Lecture
Theatre 3 (LL3) in the Humanities Center, University of Alberta, Edmonton.
- If anyone knows of any funding that can send me to Japan in September,
I would love to submit this presentation to the PHD Design symposium.
… I hope my work will speak for me.

p.s. I think it was Socrates who once said, ‘it is better to ask the same
question than
to give different answers to the same question).
