The list seems to have gone a bit heavy.
On a lighter note - it took about 166 words to describe a very simple pie
chart from Ken by Jonas, and illustrates a wider problem:
A model maker recently quoted to me that if a picture is worth a thousand
words (or 166 as in the pie chart), a 3D object is worth a thousand
pictures.
If this were true - should design research be using only imagery as short
hand to explain the way in which design executes? Is text an order of
magnitude below that required for the descriptive process involved?
NXN's Alienbrain software uses a lot of graphical methods to support quite
systematic processes. It might be analogous to the library of images found
before on this list, (sorry I have forgotten the reference to this
compilation).
