I liked the recent Newsweek issue 27 October devoted to Product Design. They seem to be influenced by Businessweek.
I thought that it was a good series of articles. I would be interested to find out more about Art Center's collaborations in education in China and Asia. If anyone on the list can tell me more.
I didn't like the emphasis on the opinions of Museum Curators which in my experience are sometimes antagonistic to the interests of business when dealing with designers, obsessed with fame and sometimes misunderstand and misrepresent designers and design. Design journalists, find it easier to talk to curators than designers. My view is that Design isn't a swimsuit contest but about bringing value to business, users (and designers). Beauty is a small part of the package.
