Mobile Bristol Event: A digital canvas over the city
Thu 11 Sept Watershed Media Centre Cinema 1
Presentations: 1000hrs - 1130hrs
Discussion: 1200hrs - 1300hrs
Mobile Bristol is an ongoing project creating an experimental test-bed, the
vision of which is to provide a digital canvas over Bristol. As you walk
through the city a diverse range of digital media experiences such as
soundscapes, games, interactive media and art will bring the city alive,
enriching the ambience of the physical places. The outcomes of the programme
will be: a rich publicly accessible wireless infrastructure covering the
city of Bristol; a variety of new business opportunities that can utilise
the new capabilities; and extensive research publications that advance the
science of computing, engineering and psychology. This event provides an
opportunity to find out more about the potential of Mobile Bristol for you
and your city.
Mobile Bristol is part of the DTI's City & Buildings Research Centre, the
principal founders are Hewlett Packard Laboratories, the University of
Bristol and the Appliance Studio.
