Dear Rosan,
The questions you ask on theory will be answered in
due course over the span of my notes on theory.
I'm traveling right right now, on my way to a conference
at La Tourette, the monastery that Le Corbusier built for
the Dominicans, so it isn't likely that I'll do much
writing at length.
The paragraphs you quoted from me are based on your
exchange with Allan Reese and your comments on not needing
to read fifty decades of literature to design. In saying
that, I point to the fact that even though you may not need
to read the research literature to engage in some aspects of
design, you DO need to read the research literature to
discuss research issues.
You have several times made a point that you love to provoke
with questions.
These are simple statements based on your own notes to this
list. There need to retract what I wrote.
There is no purpose served in discussing this. The entire
list is archived at JISCMAIL. To see what I am talking about,
just call up the contributions of Rosan Chow for any given
month. I offered to answer theory questions and questions
of substance, I did not agree to enter an endless round of
notes on something that can readily be seen in the archive.
I will be somewhat less active during the next week as I
prepare for a Fluxconcert in the Matisse chapel at La
Tourette.
Best regards,
Ken
