In an off-line comment from Rob C., he mentioned that sketching was
important to the curriculum.
On this I also agree - even to the point that traditional hand rendering
skills should still be encouraged - as these kinds of skills often win out
in a variety of professional situations.
Both skills, CAID visualization and hand rendering are not mutually
exclusive.
Experience has shown that poor sketching is usually associated with poor 3D
CAID skills.
On another note, some recent candidates seem to have less knowledge of the
design progression of this century.
