Thanks, Russel.
At conferences and seminars, we request new speakers to introduce
themselves. While I introduce the speakers, the rest of us use email
signatures to explain know who we are and where we come from.
To help the flow of the on-line conference, I request that new
speakers make themselves known with an email signature to say, "My
name is," and "Here is where I am from."
This is more than a convenience for the speaker. It is a way to build
our on-line community. While famous designers such as Rob Curedale
and distinguished scholars such as John Broadbent are known to all of
us, they do not rely on assumed knowledge. Since 100 new subscribers
have joined us for the conference, I ask that all conference
participants show courtesy to old members and new by identifying
themselves.
Please build the community when you speak by helping us to get a
sense of who you are.
Best regards,
Ken
