Dear Colleagues,
Those who were interested the material posted here on
intellectual property rights will find the Copyright Bay
web site of interest.
Intended as an education site for teachers at all levels,
the interface seems a bit elementary. If you drill down,
you'll find some excellent resources, including very useful
materials on fair use principles applied to distance
education and digital archives. The bibliographic
resources are excellent.
This provides a good further resource to the Design
Council's elegant, rigorous presentation and the other
collections posted here.

A Visit to Copyright Bay
Designed by graduate students at George Washington
University, this site is meant to be a guide "to general and
specific concepts about copyright as they apply to the
non-profit educational setting." Copyright, fair use, and
infringement tutorials are presented as an interactive map
of "Fair Use Harbor" with "Multimedia Wharf," "Cove of
Multiple Copies," and other educational areas. Includes
quizzes and a bibliography. Not intended as legal advice.
Note: has some broken links.
