I realize that there are different sets of expectations for different
forums of scholarship and research. There are also different ways
to approach the same topic area, of course. But when all is said
and done, design is visual. This fact does not belittle the
importance of design writing; it does, in fact, encourage
articulation. To debate the importance of including imagery in a
paper or presentation, when discussing the subject of design,
seems a bit odd to this graphic designer.
