Subject: QUERY: Mining and environment
Hi All:
For a graduate course in environmental history I'm teaching this spring,
could anyone recommend a few books (or alternately, key articles) to assign
on mining and it's environmental consequences? I'm looking for two sources--
one dealing with the devloping world and another dealing with either the US
or Europe. Can be any kind of mining--mineral, oil, coal, what ever. . .
Thanks in advance.
Ann
