R R Angersteins Travel Diary 1753-55 trans. T & P Berg publ. Science
Museum 2001 ISBN 1 900747 24 3 contains a wealth of information about
iron and steel prices encountered in England and Wales at that time,
both for imports and for domestic production. I appreciate that this is
outside your period, but there are often comments about price
developments over earlier years.
