Research Studentship in Media Studies
Applications are invited for a research studentship in Media Studies.
Research proposals should fall within the following areas:
The history of film and photography in Britain and Ireland
Comparative or cross-cultural film studies
Media policy
Digital technology and culture
Candidates should hold, or expect to hold by 31 August 2003, a first or
upper second class honours degree in Media Studies or a cognate area.
Successful candidates will enrol as of 1 October 2003, on a full-time
programme of research studies leading to the award of the degree of Doctor
of Philosophy.
The studentship will consist of fees and an annual stipend of £9,000. The
studentship will be awarded for a period of up to three years subject to
satisfactory progress.
The closing date for receipt of completed applications is 29 August 2003.
Interviews will be held early September.
