In April STN is holding two additional public training sessions
free-of-charge in London. Both are geared towards users who have
experience of STN Basics. Attendees can choose between using STN on the
Web or STN Express during the skills practice sessions.
Venue: The Royal Society of Chemistry, Piccadilly, London.
1. Wednesday 2 April: Techniques for Searching CAPlus - half-day course,
1.30pm-4.00pm
This course will focus on searching Chemical Abstracts, now
incorporating data from 1907, using indexing, the CA Lexicon and
techniques for retrieving the older data.
2. Thursday 3 April: Reaction Searching in Beilstein and CASREACT- full
day course, 10am-3.30pm.
This course will focus on reaction searching techniques to interrogate
the two largest online reaction databases, Beilstein, 1779-date, and
CASREACT, 1907-date.
