I ask my medical library mafia! *If* anyone has it, they would need to know the date of the relevant issue, and preferably the page? Also if they know whether its US or Europe edition?
You could get it fairly cheaply via BL newspaper library, but that fails on the time front- its a few minutes walk from Colindale tube station,(near the northern end of the northern line), and its on microfilm..

Does anyone subscribe to this? I need a news item- can offer postage stamps in return.
If someone has e access, the url of the article is below. If anyone has print access only, please still contact me as I can ask my user to see if she can find out the print ref.
Thanks!
(According to BLPC, BL has it on microfilm in newspaper library, but would only be easily usable for us if in a London reading room)

> Taking pills to prevent cancer - Wall Street Journal (sub req)
Says that "a quiet but important shift is taking place in the way
physicians, and their patients, think about cancer." That shift in focus:
away from cure, though of course that search continues, and increasingly
to preventive drugs thanks to "growing scientific evidence of a genetic
link to cancer and a deepening awareness that many cancers start out years
earlier as premalignant lesions." Among the drugs discussed: Celebrex,
Photofrin, Evista, and Proscar. Also noted: the problem some have with the
general notion of prescribing drugs to prevent cancer given issues such as
side effects.
