Disruption to Royal College of Surgeons of England Library historical services, July and August 2003
The library's services will be affected by major building work being undertaken as part of the Hunterian Museum refurbishment this summer.
The main library reading room will be closed to readers from 1st July until 31st August inclusive. This means that there will be a severely limited service available to researchers wishing to use historical material. It may be necessary to turn down requests for access during July and August, although every effort will be made to offer a limited service. Researchers wishing to make use of historical materials MUST contact the library in advance of any visit to check the availability of services and material during this period:

We will not be able to deal with requests in person if an appointment has not been made.
A restricted service will be available in the Lumley Study Centre during July and August. All potential library users are strongly advised to check the College website (www.rcseng.ac.uk) before planning any visit
